Dr. Diana Wiley - Psychotherapist, Board Certified Sex Therapist and Gerontologist

    Diana's unique brand of wit, distinctive voice and wealth of knowledge will entertain and inform as she tackles mid-life myths, realities and opportunities faced by aging baby boomers.

    Dr. Diana Wiley has been on the Hawaiian radio air-waves for over four years.  Her  KCCN show "Wiley & Sage - Wise and Witty Journeys, ( formerly "FIFTY-PLUS & FABULOUS! - A Show About Successful Aging,") has had television coverage by Ch. 8 NBC  Hawaii's Diane Ako, as well as mentions in several columns by Dave Donnely.  Diana was also featured in a MidWeek cover story.


    Why is her show so popular?  As baby boomers hit their fifties, issues regarding vital, successful aging will be the focus for larger and larger groups of the population.  Diana discusses it all - and welcomes listeners' calls, as she addresses a different theme every week.  (Many in her audience are under 50, but are enthralled nonetheless!)  On the air, she combines expertise as a Gerontologist, author, Licensed Psychotherapist, Board Certified Sex Therapist and Sex Educator with almost twenty years of experience as a marriage counselor.

    In recent years, Dr. Diana's professional focus has been on aging and attendant quality of-life issues.  She was a Delegate, appointed by the President, to the White House Conference on Aging.  With Urologist, Dr. Cully Carson, she narrated two video volumes:  "A Couples Guide to Great Sex Over 40" - produced by the Sinclair Intimacy Institute.  Dr. Wiley has also collaborated in research projects on aging and sexuality with well-known Geriatrician, Walter Bortz, M.D.  In addition, she has been published in medical as well as popular publications, here and abroad.  Diana Wiley, P.h. D., has lectured widely, including the World Congresses of Sexology in Japan, Spain & Paris, France.  In addition, she has spoken to many service organizations both in Hawaii and on the mainland.

      Her versatility and breadth of expertise have been sought not only for her entertainment value on television programs like The Joan Rivers show,  but also for her newsworthiness on shows like CBS News, 48 Hours  and  CNBC's Real Personal.  Dr. Diana has been a featured guest on numerous talk shows throughout the United States. 

 
    Before becoming a Psychotherapist, Diana worked as an English teacher in Hawaii, Italy, and Mexico City.  She has also performed on stage and in film productions in New York, Los Angeles, and Honolulu.
